The Nzo Charities Act 2001 approved two charities:

• The Nzo Care Foundation

• The Nzo Educational Foundation

In December 2007, it was agreed that the two charities join to form The Nzo Foundation.

Organisational Structure and Governance

The Board of Governors is the Governing Body of the Nzo Care Foundation. The Board carries final responsibility for our Schools, Care Homes and properties.

The seven committees:

• Nzo Care Committee

• Finance & Administration Committee

• Salaries & Conditions of Service Committee

• Nzo Academy Committee

• Nzo Institute of Professional Studies Committee.

• Education Committee

• Governance & External Relations Committee all contribute towards the daily running of the Schools, Care Homes and properties.

Day to day management of the Foundation is vested in the Clerk, the Schools with Heads and the Care Homes with the Head of Care and Warden.
